Summer From Above

The New York Times National desk wanted a summer story that captured the essence of the season in an unusual but beautiful way. Morrigan sent photographer Todd Heisler up in a helicopter over various iconic summer scenes and writer Dan Barry was inspired by the images to write a short essay, Gazing From Above at a Summer That Was Both Short and Never-Ending.
